"Reading" 1. How much and what kind of reading do most people consider enough? How much and what kind would Thoreau think is enough, and why? Give examples.
Most people think that reading the "Easy-Reading" is enough, and merely keep the classics just to have. They can say they've read Dante and Shakespeare, but have not fully read the books since they only glance at the surface words and take others ideas on the stories to pass as their own without putting any thought into their opinions on the book. Thoreau thinks that "enough" reading had happened once a person has poured over the classics - preferably in their native tongues - thinking on them and forming their own ideas on the subjects therein.
